Argh, this is so annoying!

So I was painting at our other house, but prior to that and a few times during, I had to clear a great deal of vines from the wall and near the ground. I looked through it as best I could and didn't recognize anything poisonous, but apparently there was Poison Ivy in there and I didn't see it!

Suffice to say, it started out light, on just my right arm and a small spot on my left wrist. Then the next day I woke and my face felt odd. Upon looking in the mirror my entire right cheek was pinkish and inflamed looking, and as the day wore on it got worse appearing all around my right eye and then severely bad on my right ear, inside and out.

Then today even more appeared, engulfing my forehead and nose, and lightly around my left eye, on a few fingers and both of my knees too. I guess when kneeling on the vines it leaked through my jeans.

I must've gotten the oils on my shirt and then while I'm working I've always used my shirt to wipe away sweat, so that must be how it spread so bad. Cause I know none of the vines touched me besides my hands, and they're clear for the most part


I've never had it this bad before that I can recall, and damn does it itch and its so irritating. My face feels numb and puffy, and when I apply the lotion it stings bad and feels like my face is on fire ~ must be a reaction to the meds, but it cools down shortly after. Doesn't last long either, maybe a few hours, then back to scrubbing it all down and applying the meds again, so far at least 6-10 times a day.

I probably have at least a week or more to go before it clears up according to the average time Poison Ivy lasts...argh!

I remember a Poison Oak run in when I was younger. Not scratching can make you go mad.

Its finally starting to get better. Almost gone on my arms and face/ear, but my fingers and knees are still infected.
