Fringe ~ Renewed for Season 4

Well ain't that the shit, and here I was distraught over its move to Friday night and coming very close to cancellation ~ that I hadn't even bothered to start watching the 3rd season. Its at 17 of 22eps thus far, and S4 is also getting a full 22 episodes too.

Guess I'll have to DL S3 eventually and start getting caught up before S4 comes around!

Proving itself to be the show that refuses to die, the Anna Torv-Joshua Jackson-John Noble para-science-fiction series was just granted a fourth year by Fox. Hooray for more pan-dimensional escapades!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fringe didn't just get picked up for a fourth season, it got picked up for 22 episodes-worth of a fourth season, a terrific show of faith from Fox, a company which has been known to, from time to time, mercilessly cancel low-rated genre programming.

But if you hear Fox's entertainment chief Kevin Reilly tell it, as he did earlier this year, he's a big cheerleader for the J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman-created show:

"It's a fantastic show ... and honestly I'd be heartbroken if it went away."
